When preparing for an interview it is very important to consider the following:
Be on time! It is crucial to show up prepared and on time for an interview. This will show your future employer that you care and are reliable and dependable.
Do your research: In preparation for your interview, do some research about the company you are applying for. Some things to look for are job qualifications, the company’s mission statement/goals, and day to day responsibilities.
Ask Questions: Come prepared with questions based on your research. Ask questions such as: “What is the pay rate for this position?” “Are there any benefits included?” “What opportunities for growth do you offer within this position” Or “What are the tasks related to the job?”
Be Polite! It is important to treat all those who interview you with kindness and respect. Sending a thank you note/ email after the interview is a great way to make a good impression!
Be yourself! Answer their questions with honesty and be authentic with your responses. Show off your personality and make some friends! Being upbeat and confident will go a long way!
